3D Giant Slice of Cake
When I designed this cake, I had absolutely no idea how cute it would turn out!!!! This has to be my favorite cake that I have made all year. I love the overall design and the way the color scheme came together. This cake was for my sisters 21st birthday, and she didn’t want a big cake since she was also having Pineapple Upside Down Cake at her dinner. It’s a 10” cake – the flavors are chocolate cake with caramel buttercream, covered in chocolate ganache I used White Chocolate Fondant (my new fave) to cover and decorate. Enjoy!

Sneak Peak: Slice of Cake
I just finished prepping the board for one of this weekends cakes. It s a giant slice of cake - flavors will be chocolate with caramel smbc. I"m loving the orange, green and yellow color scheme.
Stay tuned for post of actual cake!

Donut Cake
I had soooo much fun making this cake. After researching donut cakes online I found a quick video on youtube by UrbanSweetsLA. I started off with a 10”x4” round vanilla cake, which was filled and coated with Vanilla SMBC. I then carved the cake to resemble a donut shape.
I then mixed white and chocolate fondant together to make the “donut” color (it’s a little darker than I would have liked) and covered the cake.
Pink fondant “frosting”
For presentation purposes I stopped by my local Dunkin Donuts to get a box ($.50), I think this added a better touch than just a decorated cakeboard.
The final cake!
